Cecil B. Cornwell

Cecil B. Cornwell grew up in Virginia, but he has lived in Georgia since 1966, since graduate school at the University of Georgia. He has fished since childhood, and is interested in preserving all nature and wild life, and he has a special interest in fish.

Cecil is also an artist, painting mostly outdoor scenes, and he has painted several old home places for people. His ability to paint has been of great benefit in his carvings, as he is able to paint the fish as he sees them in nature. His carvings are sized from tie tacks to life size, and they appear lifelike. He carves many species of fish, including all members of the trout family, as well as salt water and other fresh water fish.

Cecil is retired from the Georgia Baptist Children's Home and lives in Newnan, Georgia. He is married and has two grown children and three grandchildren. He is active in church and he has a wide variety of interests, with a special enjoyment of gardening, photography, and fly fishing. He often takes backpacking trips to the Wyoming mountains for trout fishing and enjoyment of the beauty.
